Deputy Minister in The Presidency Kenny Morolong and Limpopo Premier Phophi Ramathuba will lead the Limpopo launch of the Milestones of Freedom campaign on Tuesday at the University of Limpopo, Turfloop Campus. The campaign commemorates 60 years since the District Six forced removals. The Presidency stated that the University of Limpopo was chosen for its "significant history of student activism, political consciousness and resistance to apartheid." The institution, formerly known as the University of the North, served as a key center for student mobilization, with generations contributing to the liberation struggle. The launch will also highlight the legacy of student activism in Limpopo, including the contributions of former SRC President Onkgopotse Abram Tiro.
